Greek Week began Monday with four teams competing for the win. The teams, black, green, red and gold, are composed of all of the fraternities and sororities on the ASU campus.

On Monday, there were opening ceremonies at 8 p.m. with a trivia competition.

On Tuesday, there was a scavenger hunt around the ASU campus. On Wednesday, there was a costume contest, with 3-on-3 basketball, dodgeball and other competitions between the teams. The week will end with one winner announced between the four teams.

Kids Will Play During Vacation Week

School vacation-week programs offered by the Barrington Recreation Department kicked off today in the middle school.

The programs run through Friday. Activities are set up for two age groups: 7-9 and 10-14.

The activities for younger kids go from 9 am to noon. They will play kickball today, dodgeball on Tuesday, volleyball on Wednesday, badminton on Thursday, and make a trip to United Skates of America from 9-11 am on Friday.

Activities for the teens run from 1 to 3 pm each day. They will play 3 on 3 basketball today and Tuesday, Wiffle ball on Wednesday, and badminton on Thursday. There is no activity for them on Friday afternoon.

Space is limited and was based on a first come, first served basis. Only registered children are allowed to participate, and non-registered children cannot take the place of registered children.

The fee is $40 per person and $10 for additional family members or $15 per person for each session.

The Gleaner Company will face the unbeaten Western Sports in Game One of the Division Two best-of-three Business House 3-on-3 basketball semi-finals today.

The match will take place at the Stadium Courts, starting at 7.30 p.m.

The Gleaner Company advanced to the semi-finals when they defeated Urban Development Corporation 44-38 in Game Three of the best-of-three quarterfinals on Monday.

Led by 23 points from captain Omar Wolfe, The Gleaner came from behind to wrap up the series 2-1, having lost game one by nine points on October 3.

In Division 1, National Water Commission and G4S will contest Game One of the best-of-three semi-finals also at the Stadium Courts. That match will start at 6.30 p.m.

Defending champions Grace Cannings will meet Jamaica Teachers’ Association Cooperative Credit Union, in the other Division One semis at 7.30.
